Subtitle

Apple ranks your subtitle just like your title. It’s another 30 characters that get indexed, and most new apps repeat their name or leave it vague. We write one that carries the high-demand phrases your title can’t fit.

The evidence behind each change

Every line of the new listing comes with what Apple shows and who already ranks. Here is the kind of reasoning you get, for the phrase we revealed above.

Why

0 of the 10 apps Apple returns for it put it in their title. A fair fight, and it isn’t in your title or subtitle, so today you don’t rank for it at all.

Where it goes: the subtitle, next to the phrases your title already carries, so Apple indexes the whole phrase without repeating a word.

Questions

How did you find my app?

Auralog appeared in Apple’s public new-app listings. We read its App Store page and nothing else; we have no access to your App Store Connect account or analytics.

Where do the demand numbers come from?

We use Apple’s own search suggestions: the phrases it shows as you type, in the order it shows them. A phrase that appears after two or three letters, ahead of every app name starting with them, is tier A; one in the top five once its first word is typed is tier B; anything weaker is tier C. The number next to the tier is that phrase’s place in the list on a 0–100 scale: the first suggestion scores 100, each place below it loses 6, and a phrase that appears after only two or three letters earns a bonus. A row marked “est.” is one Apple never suggested in our probes; its number is estimated from the rating volume of the apps targeting it and never outranks a confirmed phrase. The lists were pulled on Sample data. You can check any claim by typing the same letters into the App Store.

What exactly do I get for $7.99?

A title check with reasons, a rewritten subtitle, a keyword field that uses the full 100 characters Apple allows, the reasoning behind every change, and the competitors on each phrase. The page stays yours for 12 months; you set a password after paying so you can come back to it.

Will this guarantee rankings?

No. It tells you which phrases people search for that your listing doesn’t cover, and how crowded each one is, so your next update targets the right words. Rankings depend on your downloads, ratings and Apple’s ranking, which nobody outside Apple controls.
